报告人简介：

Alexandra Cury is an Associate Editor at Wiley. She has worked in the publishing industry for 5 years and began her career in scientific journal publishing at Elsevier. Thereafter, she joined Wiley’s in-house editorial team where she managed titles from the Wiley Interdisciplinary Reviews (WIREs) and Current Protocols journals. In her current role, she manages the editorial structure of Wiley-owned journals in the field of food science and technology and geosciences. As a journal publishing manager, Alexandra is responsible for overseeing the business aspects of the journals in her portfolio. She works closely with academic journal Editors to help direct the journal strategy as well as provide guidance on journal publishing best practice and business-related issues.

报告摘要：

During this session you will be talked through the writing and publishing process as well as be provided with helpful hints and tips to maximize your chances of getting your research published in a scientific journal. Find out how and where to begin the writing process, including what to consider before you start writing your paper as well as how to refine your paper to increase your chances of success. It will also cover how to critically assess and select a suitable journal to submit your manuscript for consideration. We will discuss what happens during the peer review process and the different editorial outcomes you can expect to receive. Lastly, we will cover applying practical techniques to increase the visibility of your article after it has been published.
