顾停月，教授，现任职于俄亥俄大学化学工程系，且为研究生部委员会主席 。他研究的LC仿真软件应用于超过32个国家的教学、科研和工艺开发领域，并被包括辉瑞，基因泰克和安进等十几家总司用于工艺设计和优化。在过去的10年里，他的研究工作主要是在生物腐蚀及处理领域，并已在世界范围内成为这个领域中的一个顶级专家。他的生物腐蚀的软件已获得埃克森美孚公司、英国石油公司和沙特阿美公司的认证。

讲座内容摘要

Corrosion costs more than $276 billion dollars each year in the USalone. About 20% of it is attributed to biocorrosion. In the recent decade, biocorrosion has become a major problem in several industrial sectors such as oil and gas, power plants and chemical plants. It is caused by microbial biofilms. Its investigation is very challenging because it is highly interdisciplinary, requiring an array of tools including electrochemical, microbiological and molecular biology (e.g., qPCR, metagenomics). Although biocorrosion was discovered over 100 years ago, it was until recently that its basic mechanisms started to be seriously investigated using bioelectrochemistry. This talk presents the start of the art understanding of biocorrosion mechanisms that is critical in field diagnosis, biofilm detection and treatment.
